About us.. Terry and Hans van der Vooren In 1998 we emigrated from busy Holland to Boquete Panama. Next we took over an old and overgrown coffee estate and so our coffee adventure started. We did build a new plantation house and revived a part of coffee plantation today 2/3 of the estate is a private forest reserve ! We named the estate Finca Habbus de kwie. Next was Coffee Adventures tours. A small company with a big passion for nature. Coffee Adventures started as a hobby and after more than fifteen years, the passion for nature and our guiding work was and is only growing stronger. Over the years we have built on the estate three deluxe cottages. A very special place for guest who truly like to stay in the jungle, Tinamou cottage jungle/birding lodge was born. Coffee Adventures grew up but we still see ourselves are as a small company.. with the same "unique" formula ! We are travelers first ! This means all tours are made in a way we will like a tour to be, when we are traveling ourselves. Tinamou cottage is setup the same way, it's a lodge like we like to encounter when we are traveling. Being small is a key word in this formula, it guarantees you a very personal service. We only organize private tours so only for you.. no other guest. Next we (Terry and/or Hans) personally will be your guide on all our excursions ! We love to show you the wonders of Panama's nature, and its always a joy to see the reaction of somebody who discovers the beauty of Panama the nature and its splendid bird/animal life. With Tinamou Cottage we made a deluxe nature hideaway Only three cottages, carefully and very privately placed in the jungle. Being small also helps us keeping the cost under control therefore we like to think we offer great value in all what we offer.. Being small is also a way of keeping the impact of our activity on nature minimal. The nature in Panama is very special and we do our very best to keep it this way, we therefore sincerely hope you will be affected by its splendor and our passion for nature.
