Question(s) / Reservation  The Sendero Los Quetzales THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL TRAILS IN A NATIONAL PARK IN CENTRAL AMERICA. And next to a good hike, it's also one of Panama's top birdwatching locations. We offer this excursion 3 ways.. Like all tours all private tours. 1) Half day tour Boquete site 2) full day tour Boquete site 3)Full day / full hike Boquete to Guadalupe. Full day tour / Full hike When you sign up for the full hike, you will be hiking/birding half way around Volcano Baru to the small town of Guadalupe. Because we will use a 4x4 vehicles, the hike is not +9 but +/- 6 hours. But you will walk and bird the complete trail but will not have to hike to the main road ! Depending on the time of year we may see birds like the three-wattled Bellbird, Resplendent Quetzal, Wrenthrush, fiery throated Hummingbird and many more are living on this trail/in this forest. We will be at your hotel at 7 AM (earlier if you wish), and bring you with a 4x4 Toyota Landcruiser or MU-X* to the Ranger station of National park Volcano Baru. Here we will enjoy if you wish a good picnic breakfast* in the wilderness. (Breakfast is included if you stay at our Tinamou Cottage birding/jungle lodge). The trail will bring us through different elevations. the beautiful and stunning landscape will change around us. (1800/2500M to 6000/8200 feet) Around noon we will stop for a good picnic lunch*. While we are birdwatching our way through the cloud forest jungle, Hans will drive around the Volcano and will be waiting for us to come out of the bush. Boquete has an ever lasting summer...and that is what it is. Meaning it can rain also in the summer ! The weather in Boquete is in dry or wet season difficult to forecast. The Boquete area is like blanket of micro climates. The first thing we do in the morning is have a good look around and next we know where to go for the best Bird watching..
