Bird list Tinamou Cottage
Finca Habbus de kwie

Boquete Panama

Finca Habbus de kwie is an "small" coffee estate and private wildlife refuge / birding hotspot.
We have counted 206 birds species only on the Habbus de kwie estate !( August 2019 and still counting)
The estate is situated at the south east site of the Boquete center in the jungle of the beautiful Jaramillo mountains.

The 9 Hec/22acr estate is divided in a shade grown organic Coffee farm, meadows for the horses and is a mix of cloud forest and Pacific slope forest.
This mix/overflow of the different biotopes gives a very high biodiversity what comes out in the diversity of birdlife on the estate.

With an altitude of 1100m/3300f to 1250m/4100f the estate enjoys year round a spring like climate.
Even in the dry season when the winds pickup in town.. Habbus de Kwie will be mostly out of the wind next
there is always water running through the estate in smaller and bigger streams with beautiful little waterfalls.
Clearly birds like this..!

New to this site..? Yes..you can visit/stay the estate.
But please note.. the estate is only open for guests.. staying at our Lodge
Tinamou Cottage Birding /Jungle lodge and as a guest you can freely explore and birdwatch on the estate.
